Academic Conversations Protocol
English Language Learners (ELLs) need frequent, explicit opportunities to interact in English in order to develop English language proficiency. By providing a “language-rich” classroom for ELLS that structures academic conversations, teachers can boost language and literacy development.
This protocol teaches teachers how to implement this key oral language practice into classrooms.
